Prof. Yu Wang, Chongqing University


Yu Wang, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, “Hongshen Outstanding Scholar” of Chongqing University, National Young Talent Program, Senior Member of IEEE, National Key Laboratory of Power Transmission and Transformer Equipment Technology, Key Member of Power and Energy Reliability Team. He graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Wuhan University with a PhD and a Master's degree. He was a Marie Curie Fellow at Imperial College London, and a Research Scientist at Nanyang Technological University-Rolls-Royce Collaboration Laboratory. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Modern Power System and Clean Energy, IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, IET Renewable Power Generation, and other national and international journals. IEEE PES Energy Internet Coordination Committee Working Group Secretary, the Chinese Society of Automation, New Energy and Energy Storage Systems Committee, the Chinese Energy Society, Smart Microgrid Committee, the International Conference on Electricity Supply (CIRED) Working Group member, etc.; presided over the Singapore Academy of National Defense Science and Technology, the State Grid, Chongqing Municipal Special Funds and other scientific and technological projects as the core of the research and development of micro-grid intelligent control system, power grid intelligent control system, power supply and power supply system, and the development of a micro-grid intelligent control system. As the core of research and development, he has completed the projects of micro-grid intelligent control system, power system stability analysis, and grid energy storage system control. He has published more than 90 SCI/EI papers in related fields, including more than 40 papers in IEEE Transactions, 5 highly cited papers in ESI, and 3 books in English; his papers have been cited more than 4,000 times, with an H-index of 35, and he has been selected as one of the top 2% of top scientists in the world in 2022 and 2023, and as a highly cited scholar in the top 1% of Web of Science. He has been selected as one of the top 2% of global scientists in 2022 and 2023, and one of the top 1% of Web of Science scholars.
